How I Learned to Adopt a Natural Lifestyle

I recently got a chance to spend 30 days, along with my parents, at the MSR Arogyalayam/Prakruti Ashram, a Naturopathy retreat near Amaravathi, the new capital city of Andhra Pradesh, India. Even though I didn't have any major ailments, I ended up doing honey water fasting for 21 days to get any toxins out of my system. The most surprising thing was, I never felt any hunger or weakness while fasting. On the contrary, it was invigorating. No wonder Dr. Ohsumi's research on this topic won Nobel prize in 2016. By the end of the program, all the excess fat in my body was gone losing about 7kgs (15 lbs), felt much younger, have more energy, and even my LDL dropped 20 points! I guess if you treat the body right, it can heal itself.

The Ashram facilities are super clean and the surroundings are very pleasant with lots of trees, buildings with unique architectures on the bank of river Krishna. All 30 days, we hardly had any time from 4 am - 9 pm. There were so many activities like, Yoga, Pranayama, Cleansing Kriyas, Lectures on maintaining healthy mind and body, Cooking lessons, Swimming lessons, Pedal boats, Hula Hoops, Yogic games, Naturopathy treatments, etc. Even the salt/oil free food was so tasty. Every one gets individual attention daily from a Naturopathy doctor who prescribes individual diet and treatment plan for the day. Folks coming with chronic diabetes, asthma, allergies, joint pains, obesity, fertility issues, irregular periods, hormonal imbalances are getting permanent cures without using any medicines!

I learned a new life style which I am following daily to live disease free for the rest of my life! Everyone whether they have any ailments or not, should spend at least 15 days at this wonderful place to find out what they are missing. Since it is run by a charitable trust, it is very inexpensive only about Rs. 1000 ($15) per day all inclusive!! So, check out this place and benefit immensely as I have. May you treat your body like nature intended, to lead a healthy and happy life.
